J & B Tractor is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our locations in Augusta and Waynesboro.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable technicians who can diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, construction equipment, and other agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair, construction, ag equipment, and compact equipment
Perform routine maintenance and inspections
Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems
Accurately diagnose equipment problems and determine necessary repairs
Follow manufacturer service procedures and safety guidelines
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs when necessary

Qualifications

Previous professional mechanic/technician experience required
Experience with tractors, heavy equipment, or construction equipment preferred
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Strong commitment to quality and customer service
