Experienced Mechanic Wanted

J & B Tractor is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our locations in Augusta and Waynesboro.

 

We are looking for a skilled, dependable technicians who can diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, construction equipment, and other agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair, construction, ag equipment, and compact equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems
• Accurately diagnose equipment problems and determine necessary repairs
• Follow manufacturer service procedures and safety guidelines
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs when necessary

 

Qualifications

• Previous professional mechanic/technician experience required
• Experience with tractors, heavy equipment, or construction equipment preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Strong commitment to quality and customer service
